I now have a greater understanding of the idiom “To hamstring.”

Back during hockey camp I pulled my hamstring while playing Spikeball(Worth it!). It doesn’t majorly effect my life, but just enough to be annoying. I can’t do deadlifts, which are my favorite exercise. I can’t play Spikeball at 100%, which kills me. It even mess up my running in softball. Now, it is getting a lot better and over the next few weeks I am going to be taking it real easy on my legs, I want it to heal as fast a possible. I need to get back into doing my weights and Spikeball at full power again. So I guess, I’ll just complain about it on the internet. I’m sure that will help.

Speaking of health, I am currently doing a low carb keto diet. I have been doing it since February 12th and have lost about 30lbs. The month I was at camp I didn’t stick to it and think I put 10lbs back on. A small price to pay for camp food. But I am getting back on track, and it feels good to be back in the groove. Honestly, when I am in keto mode I feel so good and energetic. Since switching over to the keto diet my daily nap quota has also dropped excessively. I used to nap almost ever day, and especially on Sunday afternoons. But since getting into this diet I have barely taken naps on Sunday afternoons. I don’t know if it is just a placebo effect, I am willing to accept that if it is, or if it is related to the diet. All I know is that I feel better and I don’t care what the reasoning is. It’s also a diet I can get behind, in the sense that I can eat lots and still stay on track. I am a huge fan of food, and this diet allows me to eat lots of food. Tons of meat, cheese, and vegetables. I love all of these things. It has actually help me get better at cooking. I have also learned that I am very pro slow cookers. These things are a bachelors dream. You literally just slap some meat in this magic pot and a few hours later a delicious meal comes out. If you don’t use this and are short on time, you need to get one. I made the best ribs in the whole world a few weeks back in one. I am getting hungry just thinking about it.  …I just noticed I am starting to ramble a bit. So this looks like a good spot to end. Maybe I will post some of my slow cooker creations here in the future with quick recipes.
