My last post was posted on January 2nd 2020. I would like to wake up now please, this is a very bad dream…

Oh, it’s real?!

In that case let me tell you about the last few months, except I am going to tell you about the good things in my life. There is enough sadness badness and madness in the world, you don’t need more from me.

Learning to slow down
Over the last few month I have learn the importance of actually taking the time to slow down. I am the type of person to GO GO GO all the time. Every day book something. Always be planning. Being forced to take time to just be quiet has been really good for me. Will it continue, yeah, I am going to make a real effort to set aside time to be quiet in the coming days. Don’t get me wrong, I am still really excited to get back to being busy, but I have realized that not being busy is good too!

Appreciating the outdoors more
I have always enjoyed being outside, hiking and camping, but it has always been one of those things I kinda took for granted because it has always been an option. Well for a guy who doesn’t like winter and being locked away from people, the only escape was taking a walk or being alone outside. I have come to realize the amount of benefit a nice long walk has on my mental health. Something I am going to be doing more often as time goes on!

Growing in my relationship with God
One of the things that has been most improved during this crazy time was that I was able to grow so much closer to God. It has been crazy, and maybe shouldn’t be surprising, but when I take the time and put in the effort to just be closer with God I grew in my faith, by leaps and bounds. It has to do a lot with taking time to just read and pray, to be in His presence. Not always an in depth study (Though this is important), but just simply taking the time to just be with God, like spending time with friend. I highly recommend.

Playing video games
This seems a bit silly, but during the Quarantine I got back into some video games with friends and it was really fun. I don’t know if it was fun since there was nothing else I was really able to do with people, but I really enjoyed playing some long video game sessions again. Hoping to play more with my buds more in the coming days.

At home work outs
I canceled my Gym membership. I have had a membership at a gym for like 10+ years. This quarantine I have learned that I can do work outs at home. I have got a bit more equipment and I have a bit more drive to use it. I decided I didn’t need to spend $500+ a year for a gym if I can do it at home.

Having the best girlfriend
Well let me just say that she is amazing, she is beautiful, and most importantly she is mine! I should stop here before it gets any more mushy and I scare people off.

Well there you have it folks, that is a little overview of the good and fun things in my life during this time of sad, mad, and bad time. Tune in next time for more of my thoughts.

Nolan Out!
